With over 154 billion of assets under management, Nuveen Real Estate is one of the largest real estate investment managers out there. Management has announced a recent investment in a self-storage platform called MyPlace. With the perception of the real estate market in uncertainty, numerous bigger players are trying to read the proverbial tea leaves and make moves to get ahead of the curve of change. In our opinion, it is likely that we will see even more activity in areas where competition is underperforming or MIA and profit appears possible.
